WHAT TO EXPECT

Everything you need to know before reaching out

Finding the right therapist—or the right professional support—is an important decision.

Before you schedule anything, you should have a clear sense of what working together would look like, when and where we can meet, what it costs, and what happens next.

I've gathered the most important details here so you can decide whether working together feels like the right next step.

When are appointments available?

Sessions are available by appointment, with some flexibility in scheduling depending on the type of service and whether we’re meeting in person or online.

In-person appointments are generally available at my Simpsonville/Five Forks office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Online appointments offer additional flexibility and are available Monday through Friday.

My earliest appointments generally begin at 8:30 a.m., with my latest appointment typically offered at 4:00 p.m. On Fridays, appointments are generally available between 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Because availability changes from week to week, we can talk during your consultation about current openings and what may work best with your schedule.

How can we meet?

I offer several ways to meet so that our work can fit more easily into your schedule.

In Person
I see clients at my private office in the Five Forks area of Simpsonville, conveniently located for clients throughout Greenville, Simpsonville, and the surrounding Upstate.

Secure Video
Online sessions are available through secure video, allowing you to meet from home, your office, or another private location that works for you.

By Phone
For established therapy clients, phone sessions may also be an option when you're on the go or need to fit a session between other commitments.

You don't necessarily have to choose between in-person and online therapy, either. Many clients use a combination depending on what their week looks like.

Want to see where we’ll meet?

If you're considering in-person sessions, my Simpsonville/Five Forks office was designed to feel comfortable, private, and welcoming. Take a look around, get a feel for the space, and picture where we'll meet before your first appointment.

What is it like to work together?

My approach is active & collaborative.

I'll give you room to think and talk through what's happening, but I'll also ask questions, offer observations, help you make connections, and sometimes challenge you when I think it could be useful.

You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what's wrong or what needs to change. Part of our work may be putting words to what you're experiencing, recognizing patterns you haven't noticed before, and figuring out what would actually make a meaningful difference.

I also believe our work should have a purpose. We'll pay attention to your goals and progress along the way and make intentional decisions about where we go next.

How often will we meet?

The frequency of our meetings depends on the type of support you're looking for, your goals, and where you are in the process.

Therapy & Discernment Counseling

Therapy and Discernment Counseling generally begin with weekly sessions so we have enough consistency and momentum to do meaningful work together.

In some circumstances, we may determine together that meeting every other week is clinically appropriate.

LMFT-A Supervision

Supervision schedules are individualized. How often we meet will depend on several factors, including where you are in your licensure process, how many supervision hours you need and the timeframe in which you need to complete them, your current clinical caseload, and whether you have a supervision partner.

We'll look at those factors together and develop a supervision schedule that helps you stay on track toward licensure.

Private Practice Consulting

Depending on the level of support you're looking for, consulting sessions are available either monthly or twice monthly, generally held every other week.

What does it cost?

I believe in being transparent about fees, so you'll find a quick overview here and additional details on each service page.

Do you accept insurance?

My therapy practice is private pay, and I do not participate with insurance networks or bill insurance companies directly.

What that means for you depends somewhat on the type of service you're receiving.

What happens when I’m ready to get started?

You don't need to be completely certain that I'm the right fit before reaching out.

A website can tell you a lot about someone's experience, approach, and services, but a consultation gives us a chance to talk together and get a better sense of whether working together feels like the right fit.

Scheduling a consultation does not commit you to working with me.

Because the first step differs depending on what you're looking for, you'll be directed to the appropriate scheduling option when you're ready.
